Southwark Action for Voluntary Organisations (SAVO) is the borough wide co-ordinating body for Southwark's voluntary and community sector. It is an independent organisation which aims to promote voluntary and community activity through representation, information, co-ordination and campaigning.
SAVO produces the SAVO News publication, which is designed to act as the voice of the voluntary and community sector across Southwark. If you have an issue you would like to raise, as a group representative or as an individual, or you need to communicate information and ideas to other people in the local area, you're welcome to contribute. SAVO is funded by Southwark Council, Neighbourhood Renewal, and Change Up.
SAVO runs a number of free training courses for the voluntary sector. Trainers are experienced in best practice in governance, fundraising, management and planning.
